BiondEco was built on a simple belief: that the weaving traditions of rural Bangladesh deserve a place in homes and businesses across Europe, made honestly, sourced carefully, and sold without pretense.

BiondEco began in a village in Bangladesh, where weaving jute and grass into baskets and mats wasn't a business. It was simply how people made things last, passed down through generations of hands that knew the material before they knew the alphabet.
Our founder grew up watching that craft up close: neighbors twisting fiber into rope, rugs, and baskets, the rhythm of it woven into daily life long before “sustainable” was a word anyone needed for it. Years later, building a career in Finland, that early exposure became the seed of an idea: the skill sitting quietly in those villages deserved a direct, honest connection to European buyers who appreciate natural materials.
Today, BiondEco works with a relatively small, long-term network of manufacturing partners, chosen for craftsmanship rather than the lowest price, to bring that tradition to retailers across Europe.
We'd rather work closely with a small group of skilled manufacturing partners than chase the widest possible supplier network.
Jute, seagrass, rattan and cane, water hyacinth, kans grass, hogla: natural fiber that ages well, biodegrades honestly, and doesn't need to pretend to be something else.
Long-term partnerships on both sides, with manufacturers we return to, and buyers we grow with over years, not single orders.
We don't lead with certification badges, but we back what we say with real documentation whenever a buyer needs it.
“The thread hasn't changed since the village. Only what it now reaches.”
Every product is made from renewable, biodegradable plant fibers, reducing reliance on plastics and synthetic alternatives.
Rigorous inspection and pre-shipment checks ensure that every piece meets the exacting standards expected by European retailers.
Competitive container-load pricing and flexible MOQs designed specifically to help distributors and retailers scale smoothly.
Bridging traditional village artisan workshops in South Asia with retail distribution hubs across Europe.
Where the craft, and the idea for BiondEco, began. Hand-spun jute and natural fibers woven through generations of skilled artisan communities with time-honored techniques.
